About business

Give Iris the details that shape every conversation.

What belongs here?

Open About business (called Info in some AI tools) in your workspace to describe your business: what you offer, opening hours, delivery areas, policies, supported languages and preferred tone. This is your business profile, not a customer profile.

You do not need to upload or manage a file. Use the editor and select Save changes.

Format

The starter uses compact profile entries separated by § on its own line, to keep related entries separate. Plain text and Markdown are also valid; there is no required schema or front matter. Keep the whole note within 1,375 characters, including separators and spaces.

Replace this example with your actual details. Avoid contradictory instructions. Keep multi-step workflows and reference documents in Actions. Store API keys only in the dedicated access-key fields, never in these notes.

Before you launch

Review and save a nonempty Info note, then return to Home and select Launch Iris. Memory is optional; add shared notes now or later. Saving About business alone never launches an inactive Iris.

Saving changes

The editor shows your last saved details. Before your first save, it may be filled from setup or onboarding. It is not a live mirror of later changes Iris makes.

If your note uses our older four-section template, the editor may arrange the same facts into shorter entries. Review them and select Save changes to apply. Opening About business does not change saved data. Custom notes and already-separated entries are left unchanged; no AI rewrites your text.

Save replaces the complete Info note. Current replies finish first; new replies wait briefly while Iris updates safely. Saved means the running agent confirmed the update. If Iris has not launched, the note is saved for its next launch instead.

If another tab changed About business, copy your edits before reloading. A pending or unconfirmed update is not a successful apply. Keep your text and follow the displayed status.

Clearing the editor and saving clears About business only. It does not delete chat history, customer records, skills or Memory.

Keep it appropriate

Do not put passwords, access tokens, customer phone numbers, order histories or private customer details here. About business is shared context for all of your customers. It cannot override Flowlith’s privacy rules or grant new tool permissions.
